Erösd Ruins - Erösd Ruins (English spelling)
A Neolithic site in Romania, also known as Ariushd. A total of seven layers have been identified, all except the top layer of which are known to belong to the Cucuteni culture. These layers have yielded painted pottery and artefacts representative of each phase of the Cucuteni culture. The top layer marks the transition to the Bronze Age and represents the final phase of the Cucuteni culture at Eresud. Metal axes and other artifacts have been excavated from here. Similarities between this top layer and the Tiszapolgar culture have been noted.
