Although the Kassites dominated Babylonia politically for over 400 years, their art is not particularly remarkable. The wall decorations of the temple of Karaindas in Uruk (14th century BC) are unique works of brick relief with alternating images of gods and unusual motifs. The buildings of the royal capital of Dur-Kurigalz, especially the gigantic ziggurat (15th-13th century BC), are noteworthy in the history of architecture.
