A political organization that is permitted to engage in political activities under certain conditions during the election campaign period from the day the election was announced to the day the election was held. Permitted activities include public speeches, street speeches, the use of vehicles and loudspeakers for political activities, the display of posters, notices, and signs, and the distribution of journals and flyers containing articles about the election. According to the Public Offices Election Act, a political organization is a party or organization that has 25 or more members in the House of Representatives election and has submitted a list of candidates for the House of Councillors election, and has 10 or more candidates. A political organization is a party or organization that has submitted three or more candidates in local assembly elections, or that has submitted a candidate in local government head elections.

選挙の公示日から投票日までの選挙運動期間中に一定の条件の下で政治活動を許されている政治団体のこと。許されている活動は，演説会，街頭演説，政治活動用の自動車と拡声器の使用，ポスター，立札，看板の掲示，選挙に関する記事を掲載した機関誌やビラなどの頒布である。公職選挙法によれば，全国を通じて衆議院選挙では 25名以上，参議院選挙では名簿を届け出た政党で，かつ 10名以上の所属候補者を有する政党，または政治団体が該当する。地方議会選挙では3名以上の所属候補者を出しているか，または地方自治体の首長選挙では，候補者を出している政党，または政治団体である。
