…After the Wage Board Act was enacted in the UK in 1909, it began to spread to other European countries and the US (state law), and after World War I it was adopted in Latin American countries, and in 1928 the International Labour Organization (ILO) adopted the "Convention on the Establishment of a Minimum Wage Fixing System" (No. 26) (Japan ratified it in April 1971). After World War II, it spread worldwide, and in 1970 the ILO adopted the "Convention on Minimum Wage Fixing, with Particular Consideration of Developing Countries" (No. 131) (Japan also ratified it in April 1971), and now it is in place in almost all countries, including Asian and African countries.
