Picture scrolls. There are two types: one that describes the origins of Hie Shrine, and the other that tells of the miraculous powers of Hiyoshi Sanno . [1] Owned by Hie Shrine, Shizuoka Prefecture. One volume. Colored on paper. An illustrated version of the origins of the shrine, with a colophon dated 1288 ( Kōan 11 ). The words are very similar to the Hakusan Mikoshi Climbing Ceremony in the Genpei Jōsuiki. The painting is badly damaged, but shows a gentle and elegant style drawn with thin, yet strong lines. [2] Owned by Kuboso Memorial Museum ( formerly owned by Renge-ji Temple), Shogen-ji Temple, Shiga Prefecture, and other places. Five volumes. Colored on paper. Created in the early Muromachi period. 絵巻物。日枝神社の縁起を描いたものと日吉山王(ひえさんのう)の霊験談を説くものの二系統がある。[一] 静岡県日枝神社蔵。一巻。紙本着色。同社の縁起を図絵としたもので弘安一一年(一二八八)の奥書がある。詞(ことば)は「源平盛衰記」の白山神輿登山事以下に酷似。絵は損傷が著しいが、細く、しかも強い線で描かれた温雅な画風を示す。[二] 久保惣記念美術館(蓮華寺旧蔵)・滋賀県生源寺ほか蔵。五巻。紙本着色。室町時代初期の作。叡山の僧侶の伝記を中心として日吉山王の霊験談を集めたもの。
