〘Noun〙 A type of crest used on the haori coats of boys and girls. It is not a fixed crest, but a highly colored overpainted design of flowers and moons. It is so named because it originated in Kaga Province (southern Ishikawa Prefecture). ※Ukiyo-zoshi Danshoku-daikan (1687), Vol. 5 " Kegamon of Keshi Hito Gyau" Source: The Selected Edition of the Japanese Language Dictionary About the Selected Edition of the Japanese Language Dictionary Information |
