Chemical volumetric meter

Chemical volumetric meter

A glass volumeter used in scientific experiments, analysis, testing, and preparation. It measures the amount of liquid contained or dispensed by visually locating the position of the liquid level in relation to the graduations. There are various types, such as flasks, pipettes, burettes, and measuring cylinders, depending on their structure and use. Flasks are divided into "receiving" flasks that take in a fixed amount and "discharging" flasks that dispense a fixed amount. Some flasks have a mechanism to automatically draw in or dispense a set amount of liquid. Since the 1980s, an instrument called a micropipette, which has a precision piston and cylinder, has been widely used in chemical analysis.
