Liberation Movement Victims Relief Association

...An organization whose purpose is to provide relief to workers and farmers who have been victims of social movements or natural disasters. The Liberation Movement Victims Relief Association was formed in April 1928 as a non-partisan mass organization (chairman: Abe Isoo) as a direct result of the Noda Soy Sauce Dispute in 1927. The association came to be carried by left-wing activists amid the successive crackdowns on the Japanese Communist Party, including the March 15 Incident just before its formation and the April 16 Incident the following year. In August 1930, the association was renamed the Japan Red Relief Association and joined the International Red Relief Association MOPR (short for Mezhdynarodnaya organizatsiya pomoshchi bortsam revolyutsii). ...
