Caitonia

Japanese: カイトニア
Caitonia
Caytonia is a type of fossil plant that lived from the Devonian to the Jurassic period. The leaf blade is made up of palmately divided pinnate leaflets, and the pinnate leaflets that make up the megasporophyll contain many ovules and have an opening through which the microspores enter. The microsporophyll has an anther divided into four lobes. This species is thought to be phylogenetically connected to ferns and gymnosperms.
