〘noun〙 A line along the outside of a place. Especially, in geological science, the area on the Pacific side when Japan is divided by the Median Tectonic Line. It is mainly composed of the Upper Paleozoic, Mesozoic, and Lower Cenozoic formations, and shows an orderly belt-like arrangement.
