Recovery rate - recovery factor

Also called the recovery rate. It is the ratio of the cumulative recovery volume to the original reserves, and is usually expressed as a percentage (%). The recovery rate at the end of the extraction of an oil or gas layer is called the final recovery rate, and the recovery rate in reserve calculations refers to the final recovery rate. The final recovery rate varies greatly depending on the oil drainage mechanism of the oil layer and the extraction method, but generally, based on the classification of oil drainage mechanisms, it is 5 to 25% for dissolved gas push type, 20 to 40% for gas cap push type, and 30% or more for water push type. The recovery rate level in 1990 was about 27%.

採収率ともいう。累計採収量の原始埋蔵量に対する比をいい，通常百分率 (%) で表わす。また油層，ガス層の採掘終了時における回収率を最終回収率といい，埋蔵量計算における回収率とは最終回収率のことである。最終回収率は油層の排油機構や採収方法によって大きく変るが，一般に排油機構の分類からいうと，溶解ガス押し型で5～25%，ガスキャップ押し型 20～40%，水押し型 30%以上とされている。なお，1990年の回収率のレベルは約 27%となっている。
