The ruins of a city from the Indus Valley Civilization in the Ganganagar district in northern Rajasthan, India. It is located on the bank of the dried-up Ghaggar River. Excavations began in 1961 by Lal BBLāl and BK Thapar of the Archaeological Service of India. Like other cities of the Indus Valley Civilization, the city is located to the east and the citadel to the west. Both are long from north to south, and are quadrilaterals with parallel east and west sides. Both the city and ramparts are equipped with bastions.
