Kallias (English spelling)
[raw]?
[died] After 289 BC, he was an ancient Greek historian who served at the court of Agathocles, the tyrant of Syracuse in Sicily, and wrote Ta peri Agathoklea (22 volumes). Only a fragment of the work survives. He is suspected of accepting bribes because he writes favorably of Agathocles, but the Roman historian Diodorus Siceros, who criticized him, relied on sources from Agathocles' enemies, so this is not necessarily correct.
