Stocks that have already been issued as a result of a company split, capital increase, merger, or share exchange. Newly issued stocks are called "new stocks," while already issued stocks are called "parent stocks." For example, when a company issues new stocks through a capital increase, the term refers to the old stocks in relation to the new stocks. In that case, the new stocks become "child stocks." It is used when there is a difference in shareholder rights between the old and new stocks. For new stocks, the starting date for dividend calculation is the issue date, and if the dividend at the end of the fiscal year is less than that of the old stocks (parent stocks) calculated on a pro rata basis, the new and old stocks will be traded as separate issues until the end of the fiscal year.
