A language found mainly in Cambodia, Thailand and Vietnam. Also known as Cambodian. Forms the Mon and Mon-Khmer languages and belongs to the Austroasiatic family. It is the national language of Cambodia. It uses a South Indian script and has inscriptions dating back to the 7th century. It is an isolated language with the word order subject + verb + object, modified word + modifier.
