Sound Imitation Words - Otomanego

...They are called one-word sentences, and can express in one word (1) an exclamation, (2) a call, (3) a request, (4) a response, (5) a refusal, (6) a negation, (7) a name, or (8) a question. To make do with the few words available, there is the general phenomenon of saying "wanwan" when seeing any quadruped animal, as well as many imitations of sounds (such as "ga-ga" for a vacuum cleaner) and childcare words (such as "o-be-be" for a kimono). Because their articulatory organs are immature, it is particularly difficult to pronounce sounds that begin with the "sa" and "ra" sounds, such as "kacha" (umbrella) and "daion" (lion)....
