The Kitabatake forces barricaded themselves in Okawachi Castle upstream of the Sakanai River, and eventually concluded a peace agreement. In 71 (Genki 2), Kitabatake Tomonori banned foreign metalworkers who had installed kettles in Hosogumi from operating, and gave protection to metalworkers living in Takoji and Awaso. In 80 (Tensho 8), Oda Nobukatsu built a new castle and renamed Hosogumi to Matsugashima, but the entry for September 16 of the same year in the Goyudono Jounal already shows it as Matsukashima. …

…　他方，永禄年間に北畠具教（とものり）が細汲に築城し，69年織田信長の伊勢侵攻のとき，城将日置大膳亮が同城で抵抗後，自焼したと伝え，北畠勢は阪内川上流の大河内（おかわち）城に籠城し，やがて和議を結ぶ。71年(元亀2)には北畠具教は，細汲に釜をすえた他国の鋳物師（いもじ）の営業を禁止し，蛸路（たこじ）や阿波曾（あわそ）に居住する当国の鋳物師に保護を与えている。80年(天正8)織田信雄（のぶかつ）は新たに築城するとともに細汲を松ヶ島と改名したと伝えるが，《御湯殿上日記》同年9月16日条にはすでに〈松かしま〉とみえている。…
