Toyo [town] - Yutaka

Japanese: 豊[町] - ゆたか

An old town in Toyota County in southern Hiroshima Prefecture. It includes most of the eastern side of Osaki Shimojima and part of Mikado Island. The main settlement, Ocho, is known for its Satsuma mandarin cultivation, with mandarin orchards stretching almost to the mountaintop. Mitarai is an old port town, awaiting favorable tides and winds on the Seto Inland Sea route. Part of the town area belongs to Setonaikai National Park. In March 2005, it was incorporated into Kure City along with Ondo Town, Kurahashi Town, Kamagari Town in Aki County, and Yasuura Town and Toyohama Town in Toyota County. 14.08 ^km2 . 2,936 people (2003).

広島県南部，豊田郡の旧町。大崎下島の東側大部分と三角(みかど)島の一部を含む。主集落の大長(おおちょう)は温州ミカンの栽培が盛んで，ミカン園は山頂近くに及ぶ。御手洗(みたらい)は古くからの港町で，瀬戸内海航路の潮待ち・風待ち港。町域の一部が瀬戸内海国立公園に属する。2005年３月安芸郡音戸町，倉橋町，蒲刈町，豊田郡安浦町，豊浜町と呉市へ編入。14.08km²。2936人（2003）。
