Naj' Ḥammādī (English spelling) NajHammadi

…A town on the Nile River about 100 km upstream from the city of Luxor in Egypt. In Arabic it is called Naj' Ḥammādī. It is famous for the so-called Nag Hammadi texts, which were discovered in the vicinity of the town by a farmer in 1945 and whose facsimile edition of the text was only recently completed.
