Born November 14, 1881. He studied under Kawahigashi Hekigoto, and named his home in Kaminogishi, Tokyo, Kotsutachisha, and made it into a haiku training hall. He was active in the magazines "Nihon Haiku" and "Kaikou." He was also skilled in calligraphy and seal carving. He was friends with Akutagawa Ryunosuke. "Heidou Kushu" was published posthumously. He passed away on November 17, 1941, at the age of 61. He was from Tokyo. His real name was Chubei, and his other pen name was Heiko.
