...The area around the Saitama Kofun Group (Gyoda City) has been developed as the historic park, Sakitama Fudoki no Oka. (3) Oku-Musashi Region This region, consisting of Hanno City, Hidaka City, and surrounding towns and villages, stretches from the Hiki Hills to the Soto-Chichibu Mountains, and is bustling with golfers on weekends with golf courses in various locations. It is known for local industries that originated in the early modern period, such as Nishikawa forestry (cedar) on the Naguri River, ura silk in Hanno City, fittings in Tokigawa Village, and Japanese paper in Ogawa Town, but agricultural production is sluggish due to the lack of flat land, and urbanization has been delayed.
