...The name Oku-Musashi Plateau is a general term for the mountainous area below 1000m above sea level that spans the southwestern part of Saitama Prefecture, Hanno City, Hidaka City, and Naguri Village, Iruma County. The name means the mountainous area at the back of the Musashino Plateau, and was first used by the Musashino Railway, the predecessor of the Seibu Ikebukuro Line, to promote tourism before World War II.
