Oki's Ears - Oki's Ears

...A mountain in the middle of the Mikuni Mountains that forms the border between Niigata and Gunma prefectures. The mountain has two peaks, Toma-no-mimi (1,963m) and Oki-no-mimi (1,960m), and is also called "Mimi-two" (two ears) because they resemble cat ears when viewed from afar. It is located at the point where the ridge that forms the Joetsu border, which stretches almost south from Shimizu Pass (1,448m), turns at a right angle and heads west.
