[Born] Around 415 B.C. [Died] c. 353 BC. Greek general of Athens. He used light infantry in battle, lengthening the soldiers' spears and lightening their armor to increase their mobility. During the Corinthian War in 390 BC, he used his light infantry to annihilate almost all of the Spartan heavy infantry (hoplites).
