Filefish (Nizadai) - Kawahagi

...It is found in the central and southern parts of Honshu, Okinawa, the Korean peninsula, and China. It has a body shape similar to that of a filefish, and because its thick skin is peeled off before cooking, it is often called kawahagi (Kagoshima) or hage (Kochi, Wakayama, Shimonoseki, etc.). It has a row of 4 to 5 small black projections on the rear side of its body, just before the base of its tail.
