Oshirasawa Mountain - Oshirasawasan

…It was designated a special natural monument in 1960. The marshland is surrounded by mountains over 2000m above sea level, such as Mt. Shibutsu, Mt. Oshirozawayama, Mt. Keikaku, and Mt. Hiuchigatake, and is shaped like a long, narrow triangle. Its altitude is around 1400m. It is divided from the east into Shimo Tashiro, Naka Tashiro, Kamitashiro, and Seka Aburi Tashiro by rivers such as the Nushiri River, Tadami River, and Yoppi River that run through the marshland. The Nushiri River, which flows from Lake Oze, and the Yoppi River, which flows northeast through the marshland, join together to form the Tadami River, which falls at the northeastern end of the marshland as the Hiraname Falls and Sanjo Falls, before flowing north. …
