The diary of Saito Mototsune, the acting steward of the Muromachi Shogunate and member of the Shiki Hyojoshu (councillor of the government). It covers the years from 1440 to 1456. The articles are brief, but they are noteworthy as historical materials for their information on the activities of the Shogun and feudal lords, as well as on finances such as virtuous government and land storage. It is included in the Zoku Shiryo Taisei (Continuation of Historical Documents).
