Nobutsuna Okochi - The beast of Okochi

...A Shogunate councilor in the early Edo period. The eldest son of Okawachi Hisatsuna, a local official of the Tokugawa clan. His childhood name was Choshiro, and his given name was Masanaga. In 1601 (Keicho 6), he was adopted by his uncle Matsudaira Masatsuna, who inherited the Nagasawa Matsudaira family. In 1604, he served as a page for Tokugawa Iemitsu. In 1620 (Genwa 6), he was given a fief of 500 koku and changed his name to Nobutsuna. In 1623, he was given 800 koku as a page group head clerk, and accompanied Iemitsu to Kyoto, where he was appointed as Izu no Kami, Junior Fifth Rank. In 1624 (Kan'ei 1), he was given 2,000 koku, and in 1627, he was given 10,000 koku and became a daimyo. In 1630, he was given 15,000 koku. In 1899, he was ordered to serve as a senior councilor, and in 1900, in March, he became one of the Rokuninshu (later known as the Wakadoshiyori), in April he was in charge of the Osukiyakata (a branch of the Sukiyakata), and in May, he was appointed senior councilor. He became the lord of Musashi Oshi Castle and was given a fief of 30,000 koku.

…江戸前期の幕府老中。徳川氏の地方役人大河内久綱の長子。幼名長四郎，諱（いみな）正永。1601年(慶長6)叔父で長沢松平家を継ぐ松平正綱の養子となる。04年徳川家光の小姓として近侍。20年(元和6)采地500石，信綱と改名。23年小姓組番頭800石，家光上洛に供奉し従五位下伊豆守に叙任。24年(寛永1)2000石，27年1万石で大名に列する。30年1万5000石。32年老中並勤仕の命をうけ，33年3月六人衆(のちの若年寄)，4月御数寄屋方（おすきやかた）支配，5月老中に任じ，武蔵忍（おし）城主となり3万石を領した。…
