Terusada Okochi

Japanese: 大河内輝貞 - おおこうちてるさだ

1665-1747 A daimyo from the early to mid-Edo period.
Born June 20, 1665. The sixth son of Matsudaira Terutsuna. He became a page to Shogun Tokugawa Tsunayoshi, and in Genroku 4, he succeeded his uncle Okawachi Nobuoki as head of the family. After serving in the Mibu Domain in Shimotsuke, Takasaki Domain in Kozuke, and Murakami Domain in Echigo, he became the first head of the Okawachi (Matsudaira) family, which became the lord of Takasaki Domain in Kyoho 2. He had a stipend of 72,000 koku. He served Shogun Tokugawa Yoshimune, and was a senior councilor for 15 years. He died September 14, 1770, at the age of 83. His original name was Taketsuna. He was commonly known as Sakanojo, and was Ukyo no Daibu.

寛文5年6月20日生まれ。松平輝綱(てるつな)の6男。将軍徳川綱吉(つなよし)の小姓となり,元禄(げんろく)4年叔父大河内信興(のぶおき)の家督をつぐ。下野(しもつけ)壬生(みぶ)藩,上野(こうずけ)高崎藩,越後(えちご)村上藩をへて,享保(きょうほう)2年高崎藩主大河内(松平)家初代。7万2000石。将軍徳川吉宗(よしむね)につかえ,15年老中格。延享4年9月14日死去。83歳。初名は武綱(たけつな)。通称は酒之丞。右京大夫(うきょうのだいぶ)。
