Japanese: システムダイナミクス（英語表記）system dynamics

Abbreviation: SD. A methodology that uses a simulation model (simulation) of a dynamic system to clarify the characteristics of the system that change over time.

It was invented by the American Jay W. Forrester in 1956. It was originally called Industrial Dynamics (ID) because it was conceived as a way to study the nature of companies as they change over time, and it attracted considerable attention at the time because of its various characteristics.

　1956年アメリカのフォレスターJay W.Forresterにより創案された。時間につれて変わる企業の性質を研究するために考えられたので，初めはインダストリアルダイナミクス(IDと略称)と呼ばれ，いろいろの特徴をもっていたため，当時著しい注目を集めた。
