It is located in Odaka, Yonago City, Tottori Prefecture. The main deity is Oonamuchi-no-Kami (Okuninushi-no-Mikoto), and in the side shrines are Sukunahiko-no-Kami, Susanoo-no-Kami, and Oyamatsumi-no-Kami. According to the shrine's legend, it was originally located halfway up Mt. Daisen (Ogamiyama), but during the Enkyu and Joho eras (1069-1077), monks from Daisen-ji Temple preached Ryobu Shinto and moved it to the foot of the mountain, and then in 1680 (Enpo 8), it was moved to its current location. In 837 (Jowa 4), it was awarded the rank of Jugoi, and in 867 (Jogan 9), it was promoted to Shogoi. The shrine appears as a small shrine in the Engishiki Shinmeicho (list of deities), and was read as "Omiwanoyama." It is said that when Emperor Godaigo enshrined at Mt. Senjo, he prayed for the retreat of the imperial enemies. The shrine also flourished as a training center for ascetic practices, but after separation of Shinto and Buddhism in the Meiji period, Okumiya (Daisen-cho, Seihaku-gun) was established on the middle slope of Mt. Daisen. In 1871 (Meiji 4), the shrine was designated as a small national shrine. Annual festivals are held on April 29th in the spring and October 9th in the fall.
