Ogami Island

An island located about 4 km north of Shimajiri Fishing Port in the northern part of Miyakojima, Miyakojima City, Okinawa Prefecture. Its area is about 0.24 square kilometers. There are coral reefs around the island, making it a great place for snorkeling. The traditional Uyagan (ancestral god festival) is a secret ceremony that is off-limits to men.
