This mine was located in Niki Town, under the jurisdiction of the Shiribeshi General Bureau in western Hokkaido. It is located on the eastern foot of Mt. Inakuraishi, upstream of the Ponsikarabetsu River. It was discovered in 1890 (Meiji 23) and worked as a gold and silver deposit, and later began producing manganese, copper, lead, zinc, and iron sulfide.
