Miðgarðr - Mi gar r

...The round earth is surrounded by a deep sea, and evil giants live in Jotunheim and Utgard along the coast. The Æsir built a rampart inside the earth using Ymir's eyelash, and within it humans found a place to live, Miðgarðr. The Æsir built a bridge called Bilröst from the earth to the sky.
