Oito Minami Line - Oito Nansen

...The main stop was Omachi City. Construction began as a railway linking Shinano Omachi and Itoigawa. The section between Shinano Omachi and Yanaba was opened from the Omachi side in 1929, and was called the Oito Minami Line. On the other hand, the section between Itoigawa and Nechi was opened from Itoigawa in 1934, and was called the Oito Kita Line.
