Ouu region - Ouu region

Japanese:
Ouu region - Ouu region
A general term for the six Tohoku prefectures (Aomori, Iwate, Akita, Yamagata, Miyagi, and Fukushima). Until the end of the Edo period, this region was known by two names, Dewa and Mutsu, but after the Meiji period, these two names were combined to form the name Ou region. Recently, it has mostly been called the Tohoku region, and the name is only used for the Ou Main Line.
