Endymion (Disraeli)

...But then, due to the failure of his Afghanistan policy and the defeat in the war in South Africa, he gradually lost the support of the people, and in the general election of 1980 he lost his power. During this time, he was given the title of Earl of Beaconsfield in 1976, and in 1980 he wrote his final autobiographical novel, Endymion. The following year, he died of bronchitis accompanied by asthma, and was buried in the church of Hughenden, his own territory.
