EUR - Euro
Universal Exposition of Roma is a new urban center in the south of Rome, the capital of Italy. It was planned under the Mussolini regime for the Universal Exposition scheduled to be held in 1942. Architect Marcello Piacentini oversaw the planning. It contains representative buildings of the Fascist regime, including the EUR Congress Center designed by Adalberto Rivera. Construction was halted due to World War II and the collapse of the regime, but resumed in 1950. It contains government offices, state-owned and semi-state-owned enterprises, museums, apartment complexes, sports facilities, etc.

Esposizione Universale di Roma》イタリアの首都ローマの南部にある新都心。ムッソリーニ政権下において、1942年に開催予定だった万国博覧会のために計画された都市。建築家マルチェッロ=ピアチェンティーニが計画を統括した。アダルベルト=リベラ設計のEUR会議場をはじめ、ファシズム体制の代表的な建築物がある。工事は、第二次大戦と体制崩壊により中断されたが、1950年に再開。官公庁、国有・半国有企業、博物館、集合住宅、スポーツ施設などがある。
