…In 1307 (Tokuji 2), he moved to Kamakura at the invitation of Hojo Sadatoki, and eventually became the chief priest of Kenchoji Temple, where he passed away. He was given the imperial posthumous name Entsu Daio Kokushi. His Zen style was called Daio Zen, and he was known for avoiding fame and fortune, and for his austere and strict training. Ikkyu later admired him, and he had a great influence on the formation of Ikkyu Zen. …
