Ever Sharp - Ebar Sharp

…A writing instrument. It is said to have been first sold by American Kieran under the trademark "Ever Sharp" (always sharp) around 1837-38. It was brought to Japan in 1877 (Meiji 10), and was imitated by a decorative artisan in Asakusa, Tokyo.
