Enokizu (Nagasaki)

...The central part of the island is dominated by a mountain range that runs north to south, with Mt. Bandake (443m) at its center, creating a rugged coastline that looks like a mountain ridge floating on the sea, and settlements are scattered on the few flat areas and gentle slopes along the coast. The main settlement is Enokizu in the southeast, facing Arikawa Bay, and along with Tatekushi in the center, regular ferries connect to Sasebo Port. Arable land is narrow and there are few rice paddies. There are many stone-built terraced fields on steep slopes, but in recent years they have become noticeably desolate.
