Year of death: Bunka 8.6.2 (1811.7.21) Year of birth: 1753 Lord of Ichinomiya Domain in Kazusa Province in the late Edo period. Commonly known as Hisaya, he was called Choo in later years. He was the second son of Shogunate official Ooka Tadamitsu, and in 1772 was adopted by Ichinomiya Domain Lord Kano Hisakane. In the same year, he was seen by Shogun Tokugawa Ieharu, and succeeded to his title in October 1786. In 1787 he was promoted to chief clerk, and in 1793 he was made equivalent to a young councilor. The Ichinomiya Domain's territory included Ise, Kazusa, and Shimousa, and totaled 10,000 koku, but in 1795 he was given an additional 3,000 koku in Kozuke Province, and in 1797 he moved the domain's camp from Hatta in Ise Province to Ichinomiya in Kazusa Province, laying the foundation for the reforms of the domain's government that followed the Tenpo era.
