Born in 1821. A crew member of the Choja-Maru from Etchu Toyama. In 1831, he was shipwrecked off the coast of Sendai, and the following year was rescued by an American whaling ship and landed in Hawaii. He then passed through the Okhotsk Sea and Alaska, and returned to Etorofu Island in 1841.
