... Cambodian music is often performed to accompany dances and plays, or at weddings and funerals. In the case of classical music, two types of instrumental arrangements, pin peat and mohori, are used depending on the purpose of the performance. (1) The pin peat arrangement (corresponding to the Thai instrumental ensemble pee part) is an ensemble used in religious ceremonies and classical performing arts such as the Ramayana.
