〘Noun〙① A ritual art. Kagura based on the myth that Amaterasu Omikami retreated to a cave in heaven and the gods performed dance and music in front of her. People wearing masks of gods such as Ameno-Koyane -no-Mikoto , Ame-no-Uzume- no-Mikoto, and Tajikarao-no-Mikoto appear and perform a pantomime-style dance depicting Amaterasu Omikami hiding in the cave and Susanoo- no-Mikoto slaying the giant serpent. Iwato. *Kabuki: Kosode Soga Azamiironui (Juurokuya Seishin) (1859) finale: "The parishioners living in the mountains of Hakone perform Iwato Kagura in alternating shifts."② One of the Kabuki bayashi. Drums are the main instrument, with Noh flutes or bamboo flutes added to the large drum. It is used in the opening and closing scenes of rough plays, and in the movements and movements of the actors.
