"The Origin of Egara Tenjin"

…The Koan version, in particular, has a neat composition and a cold, stiff style of expression, in stark contrast to the Jokyu version. In addition, Tenjin shrines around the country produced and transcribed various auspicious scrolls, resulting in the creation of a variety of Tenjin engi, such as the Matsuzaki Tenjin engi, which added its own engi to the Shoka and Koan versions, and the Egara Tenjin engi, which follows the Jokyu version.
