…The ruins of an Elamite city, located 40 km southeast of Susa in southwestern Iran, with the largest ziggurat in Western Asia at its center. Dur-Untash was built by Elamite king Untash-Gal in the mid-13th century BCE. R. Ghilshman carried out full-scale excavations from 1951 to 1962.
