British theatre company. In 1960, they were directors of the Shakespeare Memorial Theatre in Stratford, England. PRF Hall A permanent company was formed under the plan of Hall, and the following year it began operations under the name Royal Shakespeare Company. It was based at the Royal Shakespeare Theatre, which was renamed the Royal Shakespeare Theatre, and at the newly acquired Aldwych Theatre in London.
