A political party that claims to be Catholic in some way. Although they are both Christian political parties, Protestant parties are almost nonexistent, whereas Catholic parties are widely seen. This is probably because Catholicism is an international organization centered on the Vatican, and it is easy for it to develop political movements independently of the political forces of each country.
[Three types]
Historically, Catholic parties can be roughly divided into three types. The first emerged in the mid-19th century as organizations fighting against liberalism.
