Entering the sea - Umiiri

...In coastal fishing or coastal fishing, when people gather seaweed, fish, and shellfish together, this refers to setting aside a day to gather them all at once. In some places, this is called kaikou (opening), umiiri (entering the sea), or sodate (standing together). In the Oki Islands, it is also called su (island).
